About the Lab
We study the physiology and biochemistry of deep sea microorganisms, with an emphasis on carbon and nitrogen metabolism, to better understand their role in mediating local and global biogeochemical cycles. We also study the physiological relationships (such as nutrient exchange and immune responses) between microbes and animals in deep sea environments. In particular, we apply traditional and modern geochemical and molecular approaches, and develop new techniques as necessary, to interrogate how physiological and biochemical adaptation enable organisms to flourish in hypoxic or anoxic environments.
Our Open Source Policy
In the spirit of fostering collaboration and advancing the pace of discovery, we strive to make our instrument/technology designs openly available to all academic scientists.

- @BioPhysicalMoh Same here! Exact same issue. Our son, however, picked a fight with his teacher and asked him to “prove they are not equal”. 😂
- @ProfMaggie You know there’s a form you need to fill out before you have a drink, right? And don’t forget to wear your safety glasses. It’s a solvent after all. 😉
- A great postdoc opportunity folks! t.co/LETKbvqzOK
