My interest in science was passed down to me hereditarily. I find evolutionary processes particularly interesting because they can cause changes that I could have never dreamt of, however they can be explained in a logical way. It is that interplay between obscure processes and logical explanations that fascinates me.
I found my way into the Girguis through a workshop on Elba of which my mother was a part. My father and I joined her with the intention of vacationing for a few days. I ended up spending a lot of time around the research station, helping out a little wherever I could and also talking to the scientists present. I had multiple interesting conversations with Peter Girguis that ultimately led me to this position in the Girguis lab. Where I am currently helping Daniel Hoer with his work.
